Review of The Philadelphia Story (1940) by Chris D — 29 May 2011
Pure romantic-comedy brilliance. Katherine Hepburn is beautiful and luminescent as always, while her and Grant play off each other perfectly. Jimmy Stewart is also great as a reporter trying to get the "scoop" on an aristocratic wedding.
The script is highly refined and witty, and kept me interested throughout the film, as the love triangle (quadrangle, really) played itself out.
