Review of The Phantom Carriage (1921) by Julian M — 22 Jul 2008
Only the 2nd silent film I've ever seen so a bit hard to judge. I read it was a horror film but instead its a morality tale not dissimilar to Dickens' A Christmas Carol with events happening in multiple timeframes and a ghostly guide.
The visual effects are well done. I viewed the KTL version and although quite mediocre for KTL, it did work quite well with the film.
