Review of The Petrified Forest (1936) by Rohan G — 27 Jul 2008
I am a huge fan of "Of Human Bondage" and seeing Davis and Howard together again just made this film even more enjoyable. Howard has a certain style which allows me to relate with his characters a lot more than others, and thus I enjoyed all of his dialogue.
Bogart was great, and probably gave the movie most of it's legs. Davis' role wasn't as pronounced but she played the part of the windswept girl pretty darn well. All in all, the story is a good one, and the tear-jerker ending helps too.
