As a kid in basically the same age as the characters I found this movie so incredibly realistic and heartwarming. Characters do stuff that come and go into my head every day and the fact that I'm kinda like Charlie in real life may make me a little biased when it comes into this movie.
But I seriously think that the writting and the performances make this movie good. I personally have it in my top 5 favourites of all time as I'm really affected by this film.
