Review of The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) by Anisa W — 01 Oct 2013
It's hard not to love this movie. The actors (especially the three leads) delivered such strong performances that made it impossible for us not to love the characters and their earnest stories. Despite being a coming-of-age stories, this story will touch every heart, even the older generations.
We have been through the high school phase, and whether it's a good or bad phase, we will always remember it. This story didn't specify a timeline, and I think that's why almost everyone could relate to it (even though the mix-tapes and typewriters would be too old for the current generation).
Because really, as an adolescent, the prospect of being an adult is both exciting and terrifying. And this movie captured it perfectly.
