The Perks of Being a Wallflower reminds me of many of Cameron Crowe's movies simply because great music were added to make the movie itself even more outstanding. Only this is way better, IMHO, than most of Cameron Crowe's movies and it is, in fact, as good as Almost Famous. One has to give it up for Logan Lerman' s most excellent acting. He was already very good in 3:10 to Yuma back in 2007. Good to see him doing this good! Good to see Paul Rudd as the English teacher as well!
On a side note, what could possibly be more appropriate than using David Bowie' s Heroes as both the theme song and the ending song to sum it up? We could be heroes... JUST FOR ONE DAY. If one is tangled, just tango on and listen to David Bowie. You know you will be just alright.
