Review of The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) by Kyle B — 23 Jan 2014

Love love love this movie. It's hard to watch at times, but it's so good. It's Freaks and Geeks but just updated for modern audiences. This movie does so much right that I can completely forgive anything it does wrong.

I probably shouldn't write a review for a movie immediately after watching it as I'm not at all objective and still engrossed in the emotion of the movie. And this movie has plenty of emotion; there's a scene where a whirlwind of memories are cycling through his brain and he starts to feel trapped and overwhelmed.

This scene had me sharing in his emotions and writhing in my seat, very well done.
