The Perks of Being a Wallflower. At first I was like meh what fresh hell teen melodrama is this??

It took an hour bout it got to a point it got my attention.

The movie is dark and you really have to be prepared.

The main character Charlie is suffering from actions that have occurred when he was younger and during his freshmen year of high school he gets a group of friends that he fits in with but after a fight that he steps in and stops with violence but he blacks out during this time and does not remember how things happened.

The dark and beast like that the young charlie had to deal with was due to abuse that his aunt caused.

The movie adaptation is good but the subject matter and content in the movie is better in book format although I have never read the book but I can just tell you that it would be better in the book.

This is a women's drama its not that I am meaning to be sexist but its the content matter that I can tell you that women will connect to better.

However the Gay bashing that occurs in the movie is highly frustrating because you really feel that although we have come forward so much we have people in this world that are still backwards in their thinking. I myself am not gay but I do not judge anyone for being who they want to be or who they are attracted to. Live your life to the fullest and enjoy everyday.

Not suitable for the kiddies although it states PG I would say 16 and above.
