Review of The Perfect Score (2004) by Allan H — 06 Aug 2008
Although this movie was a neat idea in theory, in practice it ended up being entirely mediocre. The plot wasn't even slightly plausible, and many of the situations and lines were frankly ridiculous. Characters from vastly different walks of life were brought together in situations that would never in a million years work in real life! Scarlett Johansson was one of the few good actors/actresses in this flick, but in a movie this cliche even she couldn't save it.
Don't get me wrong, it was semi-entertaining and had some good messages, but it seemed like it was churned out in as little time as possible, so that the dialogue and plot were ill-conceived and bland.
A pleasant surprise was Leonardo Nam, whose character, though initially was quite shallow. was fleshed out better than many of the others. He was very amusing, as well!
