Review of The Perfect Host (2010) by Kevin R — 13 Feb 2014
Paper or plastic?
A criminal on the run from the law after a heist grabs a post card out of a mailbox that gives him the name and location of a nearby neighbor's house. The criminal goes into the house, takes the neighbor hostage, and thinks he has a hideout until things calm down. The neighbor may have plans for the criminal.
"You can't kill me, I'm having a dinner party.".
Nick Tomnay delivers The Perfect Host in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is solid and fun to watch unfold. The acting and action are a bit shaky, but the conclusion is solid and the film unfolds well. The cast includes David Hyde Pierce, Tyrees Allen, Clayne Crawford, and Cooper Barnes.
"I spoke to her a few days ago and she didn't mention you.".
We watched this movie off Netflix because it had an interesting plot. The film is a bit predictable, but it unfolds well and David Hyde Pierce delivers his character perfectly. This movie is definitely an above average film that is worth a viewing but not worth adding to your DVD collection.
"That's so beautiful.".
Grade: C+.
