Review of The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) by Dave G — 10 Jan 2010
Biopics are biopics... you've seen one you've seen them all. There's nothing new here. Great portrayals and performances, I guess. In the fight for civil liberties, it proves that you have to be -civil- in order to have them.
The film paints quite a 'did that really happen?' picture, but for a movie about the inception of Hustler, it's not very sexy -or- inspired. Push some boundaries and get back to me.
