Oliver Stone never shies away from controversial topics in his films (Platoon, JFK) and the life and trials(literally) of Larry Flint are about as controversial as you can get. It's a good enough movie and of course one must realize that it's a film and not a documentary.
It's a good enough story but still lacks something that his other films brought.
