Review of The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) by Courtney N — 05 Jan 2009
A fascinatingly tame and humorous look at the life of a notorious low-life who spent his life hiding behind the first amendment, this film gets by mostly on the electrifying performances. Woody Harrelson and Courtney Love are obviously suited for their roles, but Edward Norton unsurprisingly manages to discover the depth in his supporting role, helping to lend the project a more serious tone than it might have otherwise deserved.
