Review of The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) by Hung-Ya L — 27 Jan 2010
This is my third time watching it, and I`ll never get tired of it. Woody Harrelson has gone utterly mental when he shouted, "I turned the whole world into a tabloid!".
It reminds me of my constitution course back in the uni and somehow of the Comparative Politics course, too. The Supreme Court part is absolutely brilliant, not only those arguments made by Norton about the First Amendment but also Norton`s acting. I remember how American History X inspired me to write an essay about affirmative action and I got super high score on it. One of the greatest things I have ever done in uni.
Oh it`s weird to see a sober Courtney Love in the first half of the film. After this movie, Edward Norton dated Love for like two years time. I wonder if the Yale graduate ever got addicted to...(deleted as appropriate).
