Review of The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) by Jason L — 20 Dec 2011
This is a really good movie. Woody Harrelson is perfect as the back woods pervert - aka Larry Flynt and Courtney Love nails the drug-addict, former stripper role as his wife (probably because she wasn't acting since she is/was a drug-addicted former stripper who married somebody famous.
..) The court room scenes are hysterical and Ed Norton's speech with the Supreme Court is actually word for word the speech used in Flynt's real trial. (I can't believe Ed Norton dated Courtney Love after meeting her in this; I would imagine Salma Hayek must have dipped him in bleach and had him tested for everything imaginable first.
..).
