Review of The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) by Lorenzo V — 12 Nov 2008
If there is one important thing to take away from this movie, it is the fight for the First Amendment. The acting is fantastic by everyone and Forman and the screenwriters, who also wrote Ed Wood and you can actually see the similarities there.
Larry Flynt is not the most likable guy, but he has every right to say and put into his magazine whatever he wants. It is not above your normal Hollywood biopic, but its great performances and important message push it above the usual fare.
