Review of The People vs. George Lucas (2010) by Corpse M — 25 Sep 2011
Aw man its such a hard topic to resolve. If you watched a movie that changed the whole business and the way you looked at movies and even 30 years later nothing even comes close to surpassing its awesomeness and when it was released on the newest format was not the same movie you fell in love with, how would you feel.
I totally understand both sides of this dilema. George lucas seen some things he wished he had added or taken out of the origonals and felt that he was improving his work of art for the newer generations and I feel he has the right to do that, however there are people who hold these films dear to them and now the newer generation is seeing them differently then was first experienced.
I mean who shot first!?!?! if a child pulls out his blu ray edition, well, han isnt shooting first, but if you dig out a old vhs copy well you bet your ass he shot first. Does it really all matter though? to some people it does and I think the best answer is for those "origonalists" to stick with the origonal and I guess we can all watch it the way it was meant to be on vhs.
Unfortunatly thats not good enough and this dvd goes into full detail of what everyone expects and how george lucas will forever remain stubborn as it is his work of art and he can do what he wants. If you ever wondered why star wars is such a phenomenom and all the gritty details surrounding the nerdy drama, then this dvd will be quite enlightening.
Listening to these nerds complain will be both annoying and informative so get ready for the ultimate nerdyness.
