Review of The People Under the Stairs (1991) by Shai D — 15 Nov 2007
A black comedy by Wes "Nightmare on Elm Street" Craven. Has some great laughs while managing some good creepy moments. Everett McGill and Wendy Robie rule as demented cradle-robbing couple, who raise the kids in a strict religious way.
Should a kid stray from their rules of "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" the proceed to literally cut out the offending body part out of him and lock him in the basement (with the rest of the kids that disappointed them).
