The mid-90's saw several thrillers released which were adapted from John Grisham novels and I believe The Pelican Brief was the first.
Considering all Grisham's other works are law related, I was expecting more of a courtroom thriller than a political conspiracy movie & to be frank, US politics bores the absolute hell out of me.
The overall result is a rather hum-drum movie which even the talents of the all-star cast can't push beyond mediocrity.
