Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Pete T — 29 Nov 2015
Refreshingly old-fashioned. Keeps to the spirit of the original comics and TV specials. I don't get the criticisms that say the characters were ruined. It is a simple story with a sweet message. The most amazing thing is they refrained from "modernizing" it with inappropriate humor like so many kids' movies do today. There was a lot of laughter from little ones in the theater without resorting to fart jokes or winking adult humor. There were typewriters and phones with cords on them. Bi-planes and baseball.
The moral was easy to grasp and can actually teach a kid something about personal character.
