Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by James P — 28 Jan 2016
Perfectly captures the unique visual and story style of Charles Shulz works. The plot perfectly blends all the best parts of all the old Charlie Brown movies and the most memorable of the classic comics.
Perfect voice casting and dialogue written for every character.
That all being said its still the Peanuts universe, which means nothing really has any major impact - it's all pretty milquetoast. It's quaint and cute and winks at the audience all the time with countless references to the old animated films from years ago but it probably won't move you in the way other animated classics like the Iron Giant or Toy Story does.
