Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Joseph F — 29 Jan 2016
I enjoyed The Peanuts Movie for a few reasons in particular: for one, it was a great concept to transport Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the gang to a three-dimensional world; secondly, the Schulz-ian nature was respected, from Charlie's classroom crush conundrum to his 15 minutes of standardized test scoring fame; and lastly, the voices were spot on.
What was not enjoyable was the secondary plot staging Snoopy and Woodstock in a Flying Ace plane battle of sorts, to the point where my fellow moviegoer actually stated, "This is pretty boring." Even so, the good far outweigh the tedious in The Peanuts Movie.
