It's a movie that understands what makes Peanuts so great and beloved but doesn't quite capitalize on it. The same quirky humor and characters are here but not as effective. Personally I really felt Linus was not in it near enough, Lucy was more obnoxious than funny, while Sally is nailed perfectly.
It does nothing to make Peanuts fans feel negatively towards it but personally I don't think it did a ton to help it either.
