Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Matthew C — 26 Apr 2016

Well this definitely IS the Peanuts we all know and love from childhood. This film not only inspires nostalgic memories of holiday specials and comic strips gone by, it serves as a cute little love letter to childhood itself.

Helping create these conditions is a wonderful animation style that stays true to the original Charles Schultz designs while adding texture and a third dimension to subtly modernize Charlie Brown and company.

Unfortunately, most of the film's story content has been lifted straight from previous Peanut outings -- leaving the audience hungry for new situations and material for these enduring characters.
