It was a great movie, in my opinion, because it used quite a few real-world elements in the storyline. Not only that, I felt Clooney and Kidman were really acting as if there was no script- their behavior and worlds felt natural.
This movie indicates that even the best of people can be twisted by circumstances and turn to terrorism.
