Review of The Pawnshop (1916) by Jonathan P — 12 Mar 2013
One of Chaplin's first films The Pawnshop has some funny gags but isn't anything spectacular. Chaplin's physical comedy is as good as anyone and with such an early film in the annuals of history you could tell he was still perfecting the trade.
The fight sequences between Chaplin and John Rand are enough to give it a watch.
