Review of The Patriot (2000) by Joshua W — 10 Feb 2011
True it's not historically accurate: whitewashing some gritty history and basically comparing the Brits to Nazis, but it really is a fun film. Well acted by both Mel Gibson and Jason Isaacs, not to mention Heath Ledger, though this really is a Mel Gibson movie. John Williams' score is sound, which added more to the fight scenes, which were bloody and overall well played. Yes, a true popcorn flick that entertains, but due to its length, standing in at almost 3 hours, some won't be able to sit through this film.
::side note:: Stop the Mel Gibson hating!
