Happy 4th of July and this is my DVD pick of the week. This movie is one of my all time favorites and amazingly enough accurately depicts the Revolutionary War. Mel Gibsons character is based on a real revolutionary war hero by the name of Daniel Morgan and the villains character is based on a real British cavalry officer named Banastre Tarleton.
It does a great job of invoking those real patriotic feelings in you. However, if you want to learn more about the real Revolutionary War Netflix a series from the History Channel called The Revolution.
