Review of The Patriot (2000) by Jonathan M — 02 Feb 2014
Mel Gibson in another military epic. This time, in the days of the American Revolution. His town eventually falls to the British then his son is killed when he tries to rebel so he goes out to gain his revenge.
This is still a pretty good movie. Emmerich doesn't go full on explosions everywhere like he has been in later years. An early film with Ledger and an even younger Logan Lerman. An overall good movie, liked this slightly more than the very similar Braveheart, but only just a hair.
