The movie is based on a book (which I haven't read), the acting was very good, beautifully spoken dialog with the Argentinian "twang"....fairly easy to understand or pick up on anyways for those beginner Spanish speakers out there.
But I wasn't really a big fan of the overall story, the portrayal of the characters and their relationships, the overarching theme of women being nuts, the passiveness and "victimization" of the male protagonist (which is ironic since its his failings that leads to most of the problems).
...which detracted from the point of the movie I think. I'm not sure how accurate the film adapts the book, but the movie has many good things, worth seeing, but in the end annoyed me more than anything.
