If possible to anyone's unbias perspective, understand that this film is obviously a bloodbath. But, at least it is a bloodbath with more meaning then any film ever could be. The story of Christ has been portrayed many times but not in this graphic, yet true form.
Unbelievers will be quick to crucify this film for all the brutality. But put that aside and understand that where you see a meaningless torture. Believers see much more then that. There is a story to be told and this film does it in the most brutally obvious way.
It is not easy to watch and all can understand why. However, it is historically accurate and despite the graphic details, every one who sees it can leave having an idea of how much this man went through, and through it all, we all came out cleaner on the other side.
Not recommended for anyone under the age of consent.
