The most powerful depiction of the arrest, trial, torture, and death of Jesus Christ that I have EVER seen. Director Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel, who plays Jesus, make sure the viewer feels every slap, kick, punch, lash, and nail that was inflicted on Him.
How some critics say the violence obscures the message, is beyond me. The violence conveys the message very well...that Jesus was willing to go through all that pain to save us from sin, because of his great love for all of us.
