It was extremely funny because it's 80s and because it's made with incredible imagination. Actually after this one nowdays teen comedies are totaly dull and boring. There was so much turns in the story and it's impossible to suspect what's after every.
Also 80s music, way of showing and the atmosphere were part of the entertainment for me. And as 80s it's really openminded and liberal.
