Review of The Party (1968) by Richard J — 28 Aug 2007
One of the best comedies of all time..Peter Sellers is a genius, now to watch a film which was made of improvisation is great but the development of something which could have been boring is amazing to watch, if ever you are bored or need cheering up watch this film....Classic.
Plot:Hrundi V. Bhakshi, a quiet, unassuming East Indian, sets out to make it big in Tinseltown. After a hilarious sequence where he haphazardly destroys a large desert set in minutes he is told his time in Hollywood is done. But a strange quirk of fate lands him at the Beverly Hills party of the year. Hilarity (and mayhem) ensue. 'Birdie num nums' and "Howdy Partner" will stay with you forever. Pure genius.
