Review of The Party (1968) by Rick Q — 22 May 2012

First of all, yes, "the party" is an entirely pointless film. that being said, it is a fucking hilarious pointless film. peter sellers' performance of a clumsy indian is very stereotypical, but he's pitch perfect that it's hard not to find him brilliant, whether you feel guilty for laughing or not.

there isn't much story to "the party", but director blake edwards is a master of non sequiturs that by the end, you don't really mind that not much other than comedy happened.
