I loved it as a kid and was happy to see how well it holds up. Hayley Mills is absolutely charming and a really wonderful actress. It's easy to forget that she's not really 2 different actresses.
Unfortunately, the plot probably exploits the secret dream of many kids of divorce (and their parents' nightmare), delivering some unreal expectations (it is a Disney film after all). Overlooking that, it's fun and surprisingly sophisticated.
