Review of The Parallax View (1974) by Louis D — 04 Jan 2008
Aside from the exemplary performances, The Parallax View provides a unique sense of perspective not commonly seen in the paranoia thriller. Pakula molds all necessary motifs into a more subtle work of confusion and hopelessness, instead of offering riveting action packed punches.
This works to provide a sense of fear in the spectator due to its uneasy pacing and purposefully muddled information disclosure.
