Review of The Parallax View (1974) by Cody F — 30 Mar 2009
Good but not great political conspiracy thriller. The acting is good, but something is missing from the script and I just didn't get sucked in. With that said this is one of the most interesting looking films I've ever seen.
Pakula with Gordon Willis framed very odd, complex, and original shots. The look is strange at times, but very fascinating. The style and the ending makes this a film worth watching.
