Review of The Parallax View (1974) by Joseph S — 31 Mar 2009
One of the most unsettling films I've ever seen. Great cinematography all throughout and good acting despite few main characters outside of Warren Beatty's. The brainwashing montage is unforgetably chilling, but there are plenty of other memorable scenes from beginning to end.
A quintessential 70's paranoid thriller, it manages to stand out from the pack, but it's extremely dark and disturbing vibe might make it tough to watch again and again.
