Review of The Parallax View (1974) by Stuart K — 07 Mar 2011
The second in Alan Pakula's thriller trilogy (along with Klute and All The President's Men) is probably my least favorite but still pretty good. It kind of plods along, not gathering shreds of evidence like most conspiracy movies but connecting the dots.
But its conclusion, which fits perfectly with the overall paranoid tone of the movie, is what made me bump this up to 4 stars. I prefer Klute to this and President's Men is one of my all time favorites but this is still a good movie with a good performance by Warren Beatty and others.
