Review of The Parallax View (1974) by Brett B — 18 Apr 2011
A chilling political thriller from master of the genre Alan Pakula. Beatty is well-cast in the lead role, Cronyn makes a strong impression, and the cinematography perfectly evokes a heavy feeling of paranoia.
The plot does make a few slight missteps, but the eventual denouement packs enough of a punch to make up for it.
