Review of The Parallax View (1974) by David R — 28 Oct 2005
Nice and depressing, but none of the characters are interesting at all. It is amazing how many political thrillers are dated, and it is too bad, because there is potential for a good movie here if they would have just developed the characters. Yeah, the government is corrupt and stuff, we know we know.
There is very odd, four minute collage in the middle of the movie though, that is pretty nice. It keeps flashing up words of the screen like LOVE, MOTHER, COUNTRY, and ME, while shwoing images of The white house, Thor, people having sex, and other random things. Pretty odd and unique experience in a midly entertaining movie.
