Finally watched this again, and maybe it's just 40 years of accelerating cuts and diminishing attention spans, but MAN, movies were slow and predictable in the 70s! Houseman is still amazing, but basically.
.. I'm wondering if my fond memories weren't just based on the TV show rather than the movie. Undoubtedly no better. Anyway, if you need a movie about university, I'd still choose this over Animal House, but by a whisker.
