Review of The Painted Veil (2006) by Bianca K — 11 Jan 2009
It's not difficult to see what attracted perennially outstanding Naomi Watts and Edward Norton to this movie. In a different era, the Painted Veil would have had Oscar written all over it. Alas, times have changed, and the "love against all odds" story is less cool than the antihero-focused films.
Oh well, it's a good movie in its own right, made all the better by Watts and Norton.
