Review of The Painted Veil (2006) by Lauren V — 03 Oct 2009
I watched this just by reading it's tagline "Sometimes the greatest journey is the distance between two people " and of course because it had Edward Norton in a role unlike the rest of his other movies ... it is definitely one of my top favorites , it has a great storyline and romance with a sad ending .
Even in the scenes that was filled with silence between the couple you could feel the emotion and make up a whole dialogue in your head just by their face expressions...
It's a very underrated movie that should be appreciated by more people.
My fav quote is ...
" - Kitty : For God's sake, Walter, will you stop punishing me? Do you absolutely despise me?
- Walter : No. I despise myself.
- Kitty : Why?
- Walter : For allowing myself to love you once. ".
