Review of The Painted Veil (2006) by Sarah R — 05 Mar 2010
I'm giving this half a star more than I rated the book and that's because there was much more redemption in the movie than the book...and I love Edward Norton. :) However, I think that a line so crucial in the book to be left out of the movie was sad.
When Walter says to Kitty, "The dog it was that died"...it opened a whole new spectrum of his mentality after her affair. You just don't see that in the movie though...but yeah, it was good.
I liked it.
