Review of The Painted Veil (2006) by Raynormanbateman . — 22 May 2013

I really enjoyed this film. At first I was not sure what to expect and was a bit cautious with Ed Norton's accent attempt. The film starts to grow on you when the couple make it to china. The backdrops are beautiful and exactly why I love traveling to Asia, it brought back nice memories of Vietnam for me. The story was interesting and the characters too. I felt everyone did a great job, specially Naomi Watts who I am a big fan of. It might be a bit slow to some but I could have and would have loved it to be longer with a bit more before a certain spoiler happens. I liked how the relationship started and how it developed.

If you enjoy romance/dramas then this is definitely worth watching.
