Review of The Page Turner (2006) by Shariffa M — 18 May 2007
This beautiful movie hides a bitter dark underbelly that keeps you rivetted until the end. It slowly builds the tension, of years of resentment surfacing in a young woman, to exact revenge on the victim who ruined her playing career.
This movies impact comes more from it's restraint & seduction than from graphic violence but the result is every bit as disturbing.
The young Deborah Francois gives another outstanding performance after "L'Enfant" and will most certainly be a major future talent.
If you like your revenge served cold, then you will enjoy this fantastic movie.
