Review of The Pact (2012) by The D — 30 May 2012
Well there's good and bad things here. Centred around the house where two sisters Nicole(Bruckner) & Annie(Lotz) were brought up suffering at the hands of their overly zealous mother. They return to the house upon her passing away. Nicole arrives first but when Annie arrives she is nowhere to be found.
There's a series of creepy events that follow which are very well handled & open up some good levels of tension. It's clear that there's something more to be revealed from the Mother's past but at what cost?
This all builds quite nicely alongside Van Dien's Cop with his bumbling attempts to help.
So there's your good elements but I also said bad. This comes in the fact that it leaves so much either unclear or unanswered. This is possibly so it can lead into further films but if that's the case it hasn't finished well enough to make you rush back in to more.
