Review of The Pact (2012) by Stoo B — 13 Jul 2012
Chilling supernatural thriller.
Despite its claim to be the scariest movie of the year, it won't make you scream out loud (well, unless you happen to be that irritating attention-seeking woman that was sat behind me that is...). However, it is pretty spooky; quite a few times it gave me goosebumps. At one point the suspense even made my muscles tense up & my toes curl. Believe me, that doesn't happen very often.
Just leave a few seconds before the end though. You'll know the bit I mean - the story is all told, there's a perfectly acceptable ending, you're ready to get your coat & go home when for no obvious reason they stick a completely pointless, illogical bit right on the end. It's not needed, it doesn't work and all it does is make you roll your eyes and groan.
